Frequently Asked Questions

How many startups will participate in the program?

Five startups will be selected from the applications to participate in this program.

Who is eligible to apply?

We welcome startups tackling extreme weather conditions. Both domestic (Germany/EU) and international startups are welcome.

What is the application deadline?

Applications are open until September 5th, 2025. Early submissions are encouraged.

Where does the program take place?

The program is mainly remote with two on-site engagements for Kickoff and Demo Day in Essen, Germany.

Is a Demo Day part of the program?

Yes, startups participating in the program will present their solutions in front of corporates and investors at our Demo Day in Essen/Germany on November 26th.

Does the program require equity participation?

No. We do not take equity for your participation.

Are there any costs or fees for participating startups?

No. The program does not charge any fees to participating startups. In fact, we provide resources and cover some expenses.

Do we need to relocate or be on-site for the program?

Full relocation is not required. Much of the collaboration can happen remotely. However, the Kickoff and Demo Day require on-site presence.

What happens after the program ends?

If your pilot demonstrates strong results, we will explore ways to continue our partnership. Even if a long-term deal isn’t immediate, you’ll come away with a proven case study, feedback to improve your product, and connections in the industry to help propel your startup forward.

Is there an opportunity for further funding?

Yes. Startups that successfully complete a BRYCK program become eligible for the GF BRYCK Ventures Fund — a €10 million pre-seed fund dedicated to supporting early-stage B2B tech and deep-tech startups. While participation in a BRYCK program is a prerequisite, funding is not guaranteed; each startup undergoes a separate evaluation process to assess investment suitability. GF BRYCK Ventures offers up to €300,000, aiming to bridge the funding gap for early-stage startups with high innovation potential.
