The Water Analysis & Sampling Program

Ensuring accurate water-quality data starts long before a sample reaches the lab — it begins with getting the sample at all. The Water Analysis & Sampling Program targets startups that can overcome a bottleneck in water monitoring: the logistics of collecting and analysing samples reliably, even when sites are hard to reach.

What You’ll Get

Problem Description

We’re looking for startups that can make collecting and analyzing water samples from rivers and streams faster and more reliable.

This could include technologies that:

  • Allow safe and consistent sample collection, even in hard-to-reach or flooded areas
  • Make it possible to take samples more frequently
  • Ideally, enable continuous or on-site water quality analysis

Currently, the process faces several challenges: Flooding or difficult access can interrupt sample collection, there’s often a long delay between taking a sample and getting the results, and a lot of manual work is involved.
